Crocuspool has a finely crafted body. Starting on her small, delicate paws. They are dainty and enable her to move with a kind of gentleness. Despite this, a set of five pearly white claws is hidden within each paw. Though her paws may be hesitant and petite, her claws are nothing of the sort. The size of her paws also allows Crocuspool to take swift, neat swipes at her prey, or those that irritate her. They are also helpful whilst in full pelt; Crocuspool is a very fast runner. Her legs fit in with her paws, these as slender and quaint as the latter. Crocuspool's legs are of a generous length, but not so that she towers over others. Her legs round off at her neck, melding into a pair of thin shoulders. Her shoulders are not large or powerful; especially not enough so as to deal out a painful buffet. Crocuspool's spine slides down gracefully into her hindquarters, hind legs and tail. Her tail is long and moves with an almost liquid swiftness. It is less like a plume of soft fur and more like an actual part of her body. Crocuspool's chest and stomach are slim, and coated slightly heavier than the rest of het body. Her chest leads upward into her neck and chin, which in turn becomes her muzzle. Crocuspool's muzzle is neither overlong or too short - it sits at a perfect angle, crowned by a pale pink nose. Her mouth may mostly curve into a kind smile, but do not be fooled. Inside sit a set of fiercely sharp, sparklingly white teeth, ready to snap. Crocuspool's face is round, though her cheekbones are high; her face is prettily angular. Crocuspool's eyes are almond shaped and rimmed in a dark, glossy brown. They are filled with a pale hazel colour. Crocuspool's ears are high pointed and heavily furred inside.
Crocuspool's fur is a medium kind of length. It is extremely soft, hough thick and warm. It traps heat against her body in the coldest of weather. Crocuspool's fur thickens and lengthens on her chest and stomach, though towards the ends of the hairs becomes wispy and new. Her fur is coloured a beautifully clear white, which coats her entire body. A splotch the colour of ochre shades her brow and ears, this shot with darker streaks of brown and ginger. A stripe of white, leading from between her eyes, cuts through this patch. The bridge of Crocuspool's nose is a light ginger colour, this reaching down to her nose itself. Splashes of dark brown and ginger break the white at certain intervals along her back and sides, and a very pale ghost of ginger curls around her right forepaw.lulling me
waving goodbye
i'm out here alone
oh god
can you save me now?
sinking my heart turns to stone
Crocuspool has a kind personality; she loves to laugh and has a very easy smile. Some are repelled by her bright,. happy go lucky attitude, but many are her friends for it. Crocuspool is surprisingly modest, not tending to get involved with many of the cats who crave her attention. She prefers the company of only her closest friends. Crocuspool is a very gentle she-cat, reminding many of a butterfly. She loves the infants of her clan and hopes to one day be a mother to her own litter. She has a lot of love in her heart, and perhaps one day it shall spill out to join with another cat. Crocuspool would like to fall in love at some point, but all of her crushes and fancies have been spurned or mistaken so far. She has learnt to be very cautious around the opposite gender, this due to her rough past. Crocuspool spends much of her day playing games with the kittens, letting them chase her dancing tail or telling them a story of StarClan. She is a very patient she-cat, waiting and watching for the time when her wishes can be granted.
Despite this, Crocuspool has another side to her. Her warrior's side. She can be very fierce when she wants to, and is extremely protective of the youth of her clan. Crocuspool would die to save another member of her clan, and iften puts herself between death and a friend. Crocuspool is a wickedly good fighter, fast on the battlefield and swift on her paws. She will easily slash an enemy without remorse; she knows that conflict is a part of her life as a warrior. Crocuspool is also a skilled hunter. She often brings back a mouthful of prey after a simple walk. Crocuspool tries to bring back fresh kill whenever she can, knowing that even in summer prey should never be wasted.
withering away
her shrinking violet dies
so full of life
these lights have dried me out
Brightpaw was a very obedient apprentice. She obeyed the warrior code without question and did whatever her mentor told her. She had a kind, thoughtful personality, and this attracted many cats towards her. One was a fellow apprentice, slightly older than her, by the name of Alchemypaw. Brightpaw and Alchemypaw would often share detailed conversations and soon became the best of friends. Everybody assumed that the two would be mates when they grew older, but after their warrior ceremonies the two did not express much interest in love. Brightspots, as Brightpaw was named, wanted to be the best warrior she possibly could be, and Alchemywind's dream was the same. The two remained joined at the hip, fighting and hunting and patrolling together. Eventually Brightspots began to feel the first signs of over affection towards her friend, until this developed into full blown love. This new feeling echoed within Alchemywind, and after a passionate heart to heart, the two young cats became mates.
Many moons later, Brightspots began to change in her appearance. Her sleek physique became altered; her fur became longer, softer, and her belly grew round. A visit to the medicine cat told the warrior all she needed to know. Brightspots excitedly informed Alchemywind that she was going to give birth to his litter. The mates were overjoyed. Because of a harsh leafbare, the clan did not have many kits; due to this, Brightspots' kittens were welcome in the clan. Brightspots becam confined to the nursery as her ample stomach swelled, and eventually, on a fine leaf fall evening, her kits entered the world. She had two; a beautiful daughter and son. The female's coat echoed her mother's, splashed with tortoiseshell spots. This caused Brightspots to name her Crocuskit. The male had inherited Alchemywind's dark, sleek coat, and so was named Enigmakit. Crocuskit and her brother grew quickly, due to their mother's gentle paw and firm tongue. They loved their mother and father, who in turn adored their children.
Tradegy is never far behind true happiness. Enigmakit was always a very curious little tom, and one day told Crocuskit of his plans to explore the territory. Crocuskit begged him not to go, but the mischevious kitten called her coward before leaving. Brightspots was terrified when her daughter told her what had happened; so terrified that she clouted her daughter about the head for coming too late. She sent Alchemywind to find her lost kitten, whilst Crocuskit blamed herself for all the events. Eventually Enigmakit was found by his father and another warrior named Cloudfire. The kitten was at the Sharp Cliff, and as the warriors watched, slipped over the edge. Alchemywind was the only reason that his son survived. He managed to snatch his son back and throw him onto the solid earth, but the stone was crumbling away. He fell, and his body was never found. He had been killed by his son's stupidity.
After this event the family changed dramatically. No longer happy and kind, Brightspots was a wreck. The clan leader was so shocked by the bubbly queen's sudden depression that he changed her name from Brightspots to Lostsun. Lostsun was a emotionless cat. She fed her son and daughter only to stop the suspicion. She constantly abused them both, slashing and biting them and blaming them for Alchemywind's death. One terrible leafbare night, she bit too hard. Enigmakit was killed. Crocuskit tried to tell the clan deputy what her mother was doing, but was rewarded only by an even worse beating. In her depression, Lostsun gained a new mate; she was still quite as beautiful as ever. This new mate, a cold tom named Lizardfrost, made things even harder for Crocuskit. Both her mother and her new mate abused her, beating her and biting her. Her mother told the other queens, when they rarely caught sight of Crocuskit, that she had got on the wrong side of a badger. Crocuskit reached her sixth moon quietly, not saying anything about the terror she faced every day.
Crocuspaw was apprenticed to Lizardfrost, a move which horrified the apprentice. Instead of training her, the viscious tom spent their sessions together hurting and abusing his foster daughter, reducing her to a bleeding, broken wreck. After a particularly horrible day, in which Lizardfrost and Lostsun had beaten her for hours on end, Crocuspaw did not return to camp. She was too badly injured. She would have died had Lostsun not come to find her. The sight of her daughter's bleeding form seemed to pull the queen out of madness. She tried to drag Crocuspaw back to camp, where she could be treated by the medicine cat, but the blood attracted unwanted attention; a fox. In a last act of courage and remorse, Lostsun fought the fox off, but died of her injuries. Alchemywind's old friend Cloudfire was sent to look for Lostsun and Crocuspaw, and soon found the pair.
After being rescued by Cloudfire, Crocuspaw spent a moon in the medicine den recovering. She wasted no time in telling her clan leader about Lizardfrost's treachery, and he was exiled. Crocuspaw was given to Cloudfire to mentor after that. She still bears the dosfiguring scars underneath her fur to this day. Crocuspaw was given her warrior name, Crocuspool, on her thirteenth moon. She tried to be the best warrior possible, until her twentieth moon, when she met her mate, Brindletalon.
